The annual fabulous-ness that is the Festival de Cannes has just wrapped up and as always, this year’s event was filled with beautiful red carpet and formal party style. This year’s attendees stepped out in such style and numbers that I think I’ll publish two style posts to properly cover the rundown of great looks.

So without further ado, here are some of the best ensembles seen at Cannes 2016!

Araya Hargate

Let’s start things off with a lady who slayed practically every time she appeared on the Red Carpet:

Araya Hargate stunned from the get go when she attended the Café Society premiere in a dramatic ruffled Ralph & Russo Haute Couture gown and dazzling Chopard jewels.

This Chopard necklace is a highly detailed confection of incredibly rare conch pearls, white diamonds and white gold, it was one of the best pieces of jewelry seen on the Red Carpet during the entire event.

Ms. Hargate was also breathtaking at Le BFG (Le Bon Gros Géan) premiere in this celadon printed Zuhair Murad organza gown with Chopard jewels.

This Jean Paul Gaultier Haute Couture gown was my favourite look. It was worn to the Mal de Pierres (From the Land of the Moon) premiere. How absurd and fabulous- classic JPG- and I absolutely love it! As always, her jewels were by Chopard.

Elle Fanning

Elle Fanning made a dramatic entrance at The Neon Demon premiere in this embellished Zuhair Murad Haute Couture gown and Tiffany and Co. jewels from their Blue Book collection (the really good stuff). She’s been sticking to the “princess look” for the past few years (especially since she played a Disney Princess), but it’s a look that suits her well as she has both the height and bearing to pull off frothy skirts and corseted silhouettes without being overwhelmed. This is one of her better choices and she looks great.

Li BingBing

Another solid look from Café Society was Li Bingbing’s gorgeously graphic gown by Stéphane Rolland Haute Couture.

Eva Herzigová

I love this lady! She rocked The Unknown Girl premiere in custom head-to-toe Dior with Chopard jewels.

Kristen Stewart

Kristen Stewarts look for the Café Society premiere was straight off the runway Chanel Resort 2017, which she accessorized with sleek hair and spiky Christian Louboutin sandals (which she wore at least twice more during the festival. Love that too). There were many criticisms of her look (particularly since she didn’t wear a bra under that sheer shirt) but I think she looks so chic.

Her lookPersonal Shopper was what I really loved: a feathered Chanel minidress, strappy Christian Louboutin heels and layers of Messika diamond jewelry. She has a on pair of damn wings and it’s absolutely fabulous!

Bella Hadid

Bella Hadid stunned at Café Society premiere in this custom Roberto Cavalli column gown and diamond jewelry by DiGrisogono and Florinda…

…However she really stole the show at The Unknown Girl premiere in this sultry Alexandre Vauthier Haute Couture gown. Unsurprisingly this was one of the most-talked about outfits to grace the red carpet at Cannes this year and for good reason- she looks fantastic!

Toni Garrn

Toni Garrn stunned in Ulyana Sergeenko and Boucheron diamonds at the Loving premiere.

Jessica Chastain

Jessica Chastain set the tone for fabulous fashion at the Café Society premiere when she arrived in this bright yellow Armani Privé gown and glimmering Piaget jewels.

Her sheer embellished Alexander McQueen gown was another scene stealer, she wore this gorgeous look to the Money Monster premiere.

Julie Dietze

Julie Dietze’s shimmering Guido Maria Kretschmer column gown was a simple and chic addition to the Loving lineup.

Bianca Balti

This was the simplest outfit to be worn to a Cannes premiere this year, but Bianca Balti looked incredibly chic at the Julieta opening in this sheer gown by The Row.

Petra Nemcova

Petra Nemcova stunned in this dramatic Georges Chakra gown and Chopard jewels at the Mal de Pierres opening. I wish her bag wasn’t so big though, it could have worked had it been black.

She also looked great at Julietta in this silver SAFiYAA Koyone lamé gown. I was quite iffy about this look when I saw it in print, but seeing it on video was fabulous, she definitely slayed.

Naomi Watts

I’m shocked that this gown is by Micheal Kors, and I’m even more shocked by how much I like it. Naomi Watts looked incredible at the Money Monster premiere in this glimmering sheaf, gorgeous Bulgari jewels completed her look perfectly.

Bérénice Bejo

Bérénice Bejo looked gorgeous at Le BFG in this pailette- encrusted Valentino gown, Prada accessories and Chaumet jewels.

Kate Moss

Madame Kate turned heads at Loving in this vintage Halston gown and Chopard jewels. 2016 marked her first Cannes attendance in fifteen years and she certainly made an entrance!

Milla Jovovich

Milla Jovovich looked lovely in Miu Miu at The Last Face premiere.

Lily- Rose Depp

Love. Love. Love. Lily- Rose Depp wore head- to- toe Chanel to La Danseuse, by far one of my favourite looks.

Kristen Dunst

This is very pretty: Kristen Dunst wore lilac Dior to the Loving premiere.

She also looked great at The Neon Demon in custom Maison Margeila. The messy neckline is a bit of a quibble, but it’s Margiela so it’s expected that there would be something off.

Ulyana Sergeenko

The designer understandably wore her own garments to Le BFG, and she looks good.

Bella Heathcote

I loved this look: Armani Privé provided this frothy frock for Bella’s Neon Demon apperence, she accessorized with Miu Miu shoes, a Tod’s bag and Messika jewels. That colour looks great on her.

Sonam Kapoor

[caption width="662" align="alignnone"] Sonam’s gowns were more eyecatching last year, but this caped Ralph & Russo Haute Couture piece was a definite scene stealer at the Loving premiere. Her gorgeous necklace is by Bulgari.

Lena Meyer- Landrut

The gorgeous singer turned heads in custom Yves Saint Laurent at Loving.

Miss Fame

Bow down people: Miss Fame worked Le BFG‘s red carpet like no other in custom Zac Posen and spikey Manolos. Yaas.

Svetlana Khodchenkova

Svetlana Khodchenkova cut a brilliant figure at Le BFG in this electric blue Georges Hobieka and Bulgari jewels.

Aishwarya Rai Bachan Proving why she’s a Cannes mainstay and overall exotic goddess.

Ms. Rai Bachan graced the Slack Bay premiere in this shimmering Ali Younes Couture gown. I’m a sucker for anything with a cape (especially a glittery cape), so I adore this.

She also stunned at Le BFG in Elie Saab Haute Couture and Boucheron jewels.

Ming Xi

Ming Xi looked fab at The Unknown Girl in Zuhair Murad and Di Grisogono jewels.

Juliette Binoche

Another great look from the Slack Bay showing was Juliette Binoche’s sleek Armani Privé gown and Chopard gems.

Isabeli Fontana

This beauty stunned at The Unknown girl in custom Brandon Maxwell.

Adèle Exarchopoulos

This is the best she’s looked in a while, she wore custom Louis Vuitton to The Last Face premiere

Heike Makatsch

A pretty look from the Mal de Pierres red carpet was Heike Makatsch’s pale pink Kavier Gauche jumpsuit. Sabrina Dehoff earrings finished the look perfectly.

Emilia Schuele

I love this leather corset, it reminds me of vintage Thierry Mugler. Emilia Schuele wore this custom Marina Hoermanseder gown to the Café Society premiere.

Aymeline Valade

It’s a bit messy, but this Dior dress suits Aymeline Valade’s personality quite well, she wore it to the premiere of The Last Face

Daris Strokous

Daria Strokous stunned at the Loving premiere in this beaded Zuhair Murad Haute Couture gown. I love the colour.

Sophie Valkiers

Sophie Valikers wore this custom Georges Hobeika gown to The Strangers premiere.

Julia Roberts

Julia Roberts wore a custom Givenchy gown and gorgeous Chopard jewels to the Money Monster premiere. She looks good.

Barbara Meier

Barbara Meier opted for this bold Alexander McQueen suit for the Julieta premiere and I love it!

And finally, Soko (birthname: Stéphanie Sokolinski), whose appearence at the photocall for La Danseuse was a lesson in Red Carpet slayage.

Soko working it in Chanel.

Notice her shoes, she worked it up and down the carpet and those famous steps in those towering platform heels and did not once remove her shoes. Julia, Kristen, take note.
